Recently at an Upstate N.Y. Church Wedding,
I heard the beautiful sound of the cello. The
sound from this instrument was almost hypnotic
and as beautiful as the girl that was playing it.

Prabal....thank you so much. Her love for her music does show in her face.
I love the cello! Actually all of the string instruments...just love them at weddings. You really captured her in the moment.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful piece Hilda! I really love the composition. Cropping it that way gives an intimate performance and heightened feeling of sensitivity, like the music is emotionally moving for both the performer and the audience. Love it! (a much better compositional choice than mine :-)

ReplyDeleteDean..When I started on the Cello, I put black pastel first, then I added the brown/reds. It started to look like wood grain, I added the white for the sheen ..I really enjoyed painting the instrument.
Nice job. Not an easy angle to draw from, but you did it well.
ReplyDeleteThank you Becky! Her hand did give me a bit of trouble because of the angle.
ReplyDeleteCool, she looks deep in thought)
