Tennessee Beauty- 2nd Try

Thank God my eye surgery last Friday was successful.   Appointment for my left eye will be March 11th.  The worst thing is putting so many drops in the eye but I'm getting used to it.
I painted this horse AGAIN and very happy with it now.  I painted with goggles on to protect my eye from the pastels. I guess I'm a little obsessed and had to do it.  I hope you like it.
I will rest my eyes now.

  2. So lovely! Hope you continue well with your eyes. From mine, it makes such a difference. Mine were done over 20 years ago and haven’t changed. Did you get bifocals? Didn’t have them when I had my eyes done. I wear readers for close work.

    1. thank you so much Jo for your comment. My eye is healing so beautifully and now I'll have the left one done on March 11th I, like you will be wearing readers which I will pick up today. I could've chosen the other method but he said that a lot of people saw an aura as they're driving so I didn't want to take a chance. Again, thank you for stopping by!!!

Gros bisous

  16. Hi Carol,
I'm so happy you liked my painting and glad you stopped by to comment. My surgery on Both eyes went well. 20-20 ...and the surgery was both completed. I was the last surgery that my doctor did before he "closed shop". So I really lucked out. I wear glasses just for close work. Stay safe.

  17. Thank you for your very kind congratulations regarding my husband's book. To be honest, I didn't think anyone was following my blog any longer -- and that's why I must apologize for not having kept up with you! This painting is really beautifully-done, Hilda. I love horses, and you've captured this one to perfection. I'm also really pleased to learn you've had such a successful experience with your eye surgeries -- and just in time before the closure! I had mine done a couple of years ago, and (even though cataract surgery is very routine these days) I was still a bit anxious because I have only one eye. Stay safe and well, Hilda!

  18. Thank you Helene...I'm glad you stopped by to comment. SO appreciated. I love horses as well and I want to paint another one soon. I haven't been in a mood to paint lately. My mind is all over the place but hopefully, I'll get back to it soon.
I as well was very anxious about the surgery. Like you said these days its very routine, however, surgery is surgery and things can go wrong. Thank God, it went well and I can't believe how well I see now and how bright colors look.
    Stay safe, my friend.
