New Beginning

This has nothing to do with art but I needed to share...Today, my daughter Carin had heart surgery.  Apparently she was born with a hole in her heart and only found out after having a stroke just recently.  A blood clot went through the hole in her  heart and landed in her eye which took away some of her vision.  The Doctors felt that surgery was imperative to close the hole to prevent having another stroke in the future.  The operation was a success!  My beautiful daughter now has a complete Heart and she's coming home tomorrow!!  Thank you Dr. Ong and thank you God.

    It is so amazing what they can do now to give "new beginnings" to patients. I am so happy for your daughter and for her parents and family. I celebrate her new life with all of you. God bless!

      Thank you so much Carol! It was very difficult when she had a stroke and scary when she had the surgery to mend the hole in her heart!! But now its just the healing time.

    I can't believe it but your daughter is the second girl today who has,this as a diagnosis. Apparently it is more common than we know. Am thankful all is well my friend.

      thank you Nelvia. In the hospital the day she had surgery there was another girl a little younger than my daughter who just had the same operation to close the hole in her heart... so true that you hear about it more and more!

    What a story. What a hard and emotional time for you all. So sorry to hear she lost some of her vision but in comparison to her saving her life, it is eased somewhat I guess. As an artist vision is so precious.
    I will be praying for a successful recovery and also for improvement with her sight.

    Eso es más importante que la pintura. Ahora, espero que recupere la vista del ojo, como estaba antes.

      Mi hija me dio un susto y le agradezco a Dios que se está curando rápidamente ... sólo porque afectó sus ojos y no su cerebro. Por desgracia, ella nunca tendrá su visión completa de nuevo, pero tenemos que estar agradecidos de que ella tiene una cierta visión en su ojo. Gracias por pasar por Josh. Realmente aprecio su visita.

    Oh Hilda - I missed hearing about this because I was busy with grandchildren. I am very sorry she had to go through all this, what a trial that must have been for her and for you and your family, but thanks be to God that she is on the mend. I pray for her continued recovery. I guess not knowing what was going to happen to her was one of Moms worst nightmare but thank God she was lucky that she found a wonderfu Cardiologist who was able to close the hole in her heart! I'm so happy when I look at her and how she's mending so beautifully!!!! I'm so glad you stopped by!!!

    Thank you so much Sue!!!! The moment they closed the hole in her heart she started to heal...physically and mentally. I thank God everyday for the wonderful Surgeon that told her that without this operation the risk for another stroke would always be there. Everyday, she gets stronger.
