"Carlyle"

Did you ever see a person who you really
needed to paint?  Recently,   I went to
Carlyle Fairgrounds in PA, to see the car
show.  This man was walking with a friend
and had "that face" that called me!!   So of
course, I took his photo.  It was such a
beautiful day so the light hitting his face was
perfect with all those wonderful shadows..
which later I saw in the photo...AHHH!!!!

    I'm not sure if this is the photo or the painting!

    I think it's the painting because of the background ... it should be hanging in a really good gallery, it's totally off the scale brilliant!

    This is a stunning portrait! Magnificent! The light you captured on his face against that beautiful grayed background is what I live for! I need to get braver in photographing interesting strangers; posed people just don't convey all the beauty and complexity that is within them.
