I took this photo from my family album
and decided to do a pastel portrait of
myself as a child. I was in Elementary
School ...maybe 7 or 8 years old. I
remember how I loved this dress. I'm
pretty sure that this was close to the
original color since this was a black and
white photo. I've been feeling a bit
nostalgic lately and seem to pick photos
from the "Good ole Days". I remember
those days with a smile on my face !!!

ReplyDeleteHow adorable are you? Beautiful portrait, as usual. Isn't it funny how we remember something such as a favorite dress, something insignificant, but we remember every detail, and how it made us feel. And, of course, nobody else, not Mom, or Sis, or your best friend has any memory of it at all.
ReplyDeletethank you so much CAROL for your sweet comment! You're so right..I look at old photos and see that something that "sparks" and brings out the memories.

Il y a une grande douceur dans votre regard. Vous avez fait un magnifique travail... je suis vraiment très admirative.
Je vous fais de gros gros bisous
thank you for that comment, MARTINE and for stopping by. You're absolutely right. When I was a child, I didn't have the variety of clothes that the children of today are so lucky to have. When I opened my closet, we didn't have too many choices...but, I was so incredibly happy with my life.
DeleteThis is such a great idea! and done so well. Lovely contrasts and skin colors.
