School Days

I took this photo from my family album
and decided to do a pastel portrait of
myself as a child.  I was in Elementary
School ...maybe 7 or 8 years old.   I
remember how I loved this dress.  I'm
pretty sure that this was close to the
original color since this was a black and
white photo.  I've been feeling a bit
nostalgic lately and seem to pick photos
from the "Good ole Days".  I remember
those days with a smile on my face !!!

  1. Ciao Hilda,
you was a very nice child! With a delizioso smile and intelligent eyes...
Your portrait is beatiful for all: colours and intensitive expression!
For me is a mistery to do so well portraits with pastels. You are a "maga"!

  26. How adorable are you? Beautiful portrait, as usual. Isn't it funny how we remember something such as a favorite dress, something insignificant, but we remember every detail, and how it made us feel. And, of course, nobody else, not Mom, or Sis, or your best friend has any memory of it at all.
