Plucked from the " tree of life"
I always liked still life portraits of fruit. Apples are especially my favorite. Until you paint an apple, you don't realize how much color Mother Nature puts into the beautiful fruit. I had alot of fun doing this painting and had to eat one of my subjects when finished.

ReplyDeleteI like this one a lot!!! Nice work.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful still life! Love the highlights on the apples and the soft color of the basket. Great job!
ReplyDeletethanks Teresa, you're so kind. It was my first painting of apples and probably the most challenging.
ReplyDeleteApples are truly a favorite. Your highlights are just right.
ReplyDeletethanks Angela....this was a very challenging still life. I Appreciate your comment.
ReplyDeleteEvery one of your paintings are beautiful, but I have to say that my mouth actually, physically watered for the taste of these apples when they showed up on the screen. Lovely! And, I love that you called this "portrait of fruit" rather than "still life."
ReplyDeletethank you Helen for that nice comment.
