Italian Courtyard

My daughter gave me a photo that her girlfriend gave her from when she went to Italy.  She thought it was so beautiful and asked me if I would paint it for her.  I don't do too many paintings in oil but I enjoyed painting this.  She loved it and its hanging in her living room wall.  I added that this is a pastel portrait by mistake and cannot figure out how to fix it..lol.... but its an 18 x 24 oil painting.

  1. Beautiful, beautiful. Lovely textures and soft colors. Wow. You work well with those oils and smoothing the paint around.
You should be able to edit your post and on the right where it says label/tag you can delete the pastel portrait and type in the new label.

  4. Now this is a place in which I'd love to spend a few weeks. So welcoming! You are truly amazing to be wonderfully talented in both oil and pastel. I love the soft vegetation against the harder rock and tile. A beauty!!

  11. Beautiful and inviting, Hilda - the perspective is so accurate and that is a tough thing to do correctly. Another successful painting that's just as lovely as your pastels!
