BATHTIME

Thank you all for your beautiful
sympathy messages . It's been a
very sad month for me, but I need
to get started on my paintings like
Dad would have wanted. This is my
niece, Alani, after washing her hair.
This was painted with pastel on
suede paper.

  10. The expression of this portrait is fully obtained. It's possible seeing the shine of water over her skin, a very difficult effect. It's a great portrait. I hope to see again your works and I thank you your so kind comments and for following my blog. Thanks so much.

  16. Dear Hilda,
Very lovely work and happy to see you get back to life.
I understand your pain of the loss or see off the closest person for you. (My father passed away more than a decade at hospital.) Time does not await us, but I always remember the Ecclesiastes, "There's a time under a heaven."
And Hilda, I feel a person who knows tears well can make others laugh:).
    Love and smile, Sadami

  20. Hilda, my sympathy on the loss of your Dad. You will carry him in your heart and wonderful memories, not the least of which is his wonderful watercolor. How nice that the two of you could share your art.

This is a sweet piece of your neice. Her skin just glows -- lovely.
