Best in the Orchard

Taking rides out East is my favorite thing to do on a Sunday morning.  We stopped by a vegetable stand near Riverhead and they had all kinds of apples in these baskets and I knew I had to paint them someday.  I took photos in October of last year when the apples were at their best!
Peaches next ??

  2. I, too, love roadside fruit stands. Everything is so fresh and looks so pretty, as your apples do! A delightful painting, and I love the barrels in which the apples are placed. What fun!!

  11. Ah...now you are in my favorite still life mode. GREAT JOB! this is a winner for sure. The baskets are perfect and I love how you managed to make the sign just right, but I would say that putting in the detail of bird/worm hole, makes it as perfect as can be.
