Grand Canyon West

If you haven't visited the Grand Canyon it must be added to your bucket list..a place like no other!  Looking down the canyon at all those colors and seeing the Colorado River in the distance is absolutely breathtaking!!  We went on the Skywalk which is located on the West of the Canyon about 4-1/2 hrs. from the South Rim.  It is on the Huaalapai Indian Reservation.  The glass platform allows you to look down into the canyon about 2000ft.  The Panoramic view is amazing.  I used my Terry Ludwig portrait set for this piece since the colors were so perfect.  I did my best but I realize now that I could have used more purples!!

  2. Beautifully captured Hilda. We went to Las Vegas with a couple of friends xxx years ago for hubby's 60th birthday. On the 'actual' day we flew to the Grand Canyon, took the helicopter down to the River and then the boat along the Colorado - it was a fabulous day with stunningly beautiful/magnificent scenery. 3. Wozzer, this one is just gorgeous. I just love the canyon and how the lights change the colors. I hope to get to go back at least one more time as it is mesmerizing. I would say, from my memory, that your colors are spot on. A little more violet always works, but I would leave it as it is and frame this one to enjoy daily. Super work Hilda.

Bravo.
    Un abrazo.

    1. You'll always see something different in the Canyon... I as well need to visit it again. I only wish I was younger to go down and stay at the Phantom Inn (I think that's the name) I might be able to climb down but I'll have to live down there because I wouldn't be able to climb up again! lol Thank you for your encouraging words!
