The American Eagle

When I saw this reference photo in the computer, I really wanted to paint it.  Every time I look at it I get the goose bumps.. I have painted the Eagle before but never with the American Flag as the background.  I used Unisom reds since its very vibrant as well as the white.  I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I enjoyed painting it.

  21. Oh boy, glad I found this as I was scrolling past - since I was lazy last week. I would have missed a MASTERPIECE. Just love this Hilda, so well done. I like the suggestion to use for a stamp - maybe you should investigate that.
I haven't tried the Unisom, but looks like they give great color and coverage. But first I want to get the iridescences and give them a try. Always something for us to spend $$ on - oh well, you can't take it with you, right?
