Saturday Night

A few years back, my sister-in-law gave me a photo of her Grandson Ryan and told me it would make a nice painting.
After I finished it, I really liked it because basically it's an outline with very little detail.   I would like to paint a similar piece with my granddaughter playing her viola.  I enjoyed painting this in oil because it doesn't have to be protected under glass like my pastels.

    1. thank you so much CAROL! It definitely is different for me.. I enjoy painting with oils now more than before...As far as pastels.. the dust and framing is a pain but I respect the pastels and I'm careful with the dust and try not to breathe it in and I use plastic gloves as well...especially with Unisom pastels...
      Enjoy your weekend...
