Rudy

Rudy is about a year old now and the cutest little dog.  He's
a cockapoo...a cross between the cocker spaniel and the
poodle.   He's very bright, affectionate and loves people !!
He's so sweet and extremely "Patriotic".. LOL... he made
his debut at this years 4th of July party at my niece Debbie's
house.  I enjoyed painting this pastel portrait of Rudy...loved
his curly fur...!!!

Hilda, in reading you previous posts I did not realized that you had also suffered the consequences of Sandy. I'm glad you are painting again.

    1. thank you ADRIANA for stopping by and for your very kind comment. My neighbors are still struggling to get their houses to the point they can live in it again. I went riding through my neighborhood yesterday to find a house off the foundation..so of course, his house is condemned!. Its going to take awhile to get back to what it was. I was very lucky. Enjoy the rest of the Evening!!!

  12. Aww.. How sweet is this little dog!! The name made me chuckle. My friend has a dog called a 'Chinese Crested Powder Puff'! You'd think by the name that he'd look all fancy and white - But in actual fact, by her own admission, he looks like a toilet brush, lol!
Your doggy portrait is perfect and I love the little neck tie :0)

  28. Another beautiful painting. There is always a special emotional quality to your paintings, Hilda. I think it is because you love what you are painting.
I wanted to tell you that the painting I sold to go towards the pets who were left alone or needed temporary foster care after Sandy, went to Petfinders and ORVIS matched every donation. Isn't that great of them? So instead of $125.it became a substantial $250. I think ORVIS needs a pat on the back.

    1. I do love what I'm painting, JULIE. I don't do well if I don't like a subject. What a wonderful organization ORVIS is. I'll have to check into that one. I think it's a wonderful idea to take in a pet until their family builds up their home... Today, my neighborhood looked like the movie "E.T."...there was men with white coats and masks working on some of the homes..its getting better but so sad to see this...
