Self Portrait

I thought painting a self portrait would be easy but I realized it wasn't as easy as I thought..lol.  However, it was definitely a challenge which I really enjoyed doing and think everyone should try...

    1. Awww! You're SO sweet Judy!!! And very kind.... I don't think it's easy because one naturally tries to hide those lines but in our hearts we know that we shouldn't!! Lol

Un autoportrait ! Wouahou !

  18. What an accomplished portrait, Hilda. The skin tones, eyes, and hair are all beautifully rendered. I have to admit that I've not checked out your blog for a while, but your very kind comment on my recent post reminded me that I'd been neglecting my blogging buddies since leaving DPW. I'm so pleased I "dropped in" again -- your work is better than ever!! Really lovely portrait, Hilda, just like the subject.

  21. Hilda my apologies for my late, late comment. I had noticed this beautiful painting early on, but wasn't able to comment at that time. Sorry.

I was so very impressed when I saw this earlier. You always do such quality work, but a self-portrait is even more incredible. My, what a master you are! You look like the beautiful, fine woman I had only in my mind until now. Wow!
