I love Hydrangeas and I've tried
drying them in the past with no
luck..they wilt immediately. My
friend Maddie has beautiful
Hydrangeas in her yard and she dried
a bouquet for me with all these
beautiful colors. I never painted a
floral but thought it would be
nice to try in oil.
You're so funny PRABAL.! A flower has always been difficult for me but I will definitely try again. Thank you so much for stopping by and for that wonderful comment.
I love hydrangeas and can't believe all the colours they come in. This is a beautiful painting. In fact, although I've always loved your posts, your most recent works show a new level of expertise. The result of hard work. Well done!
CARRIE...I never realized how many colors are in Hydrangeas until recently. Its a great flower to paint. thank you for your wonderful comment. I really appreciate it.
Gosh Hilda! The first time you commented I tried to find your blog and couldn't. This time I clicked on your name from another blogger's comment section and your blog name came up. (Now watch...I'll make a liar out of myself if you found another comment from me earlier! LOL) At any rate, I'm glad to have your blog, I added it to my list, and voila! Here to stay. Love each an every beautiful piece you've done but on this page, that old rusty truck has to be my favorite!
thank you so much SHERRY, for stopping by my blog and commenting. I appreciate it! Those old rusty ones are my husband's favorite as well. I enjoyed painting that one.
Beautiful soft colors of the hydrangeas! They are my favorite! Thank you for visiting my blog - I've been away from it most of the summer and hope to be painting/posting more often!
My name is Hilda Muxo Klinger. My passion for art came early.I have always said that I was born with a pencil in one hand and a box of crayons in the other.I am a Bronx born New Yorker who can remember sitting at the kitchen table copying faces that appeared in the newspapers and magazines as a girl.
I am married 53 years and have two daughters and five amazing grandchildren. While I worked and raised my family in East Rockaway, I used art as a form of relaxation, painting here and there. I dabbled with several artistic mediums through the years—everything from pencil to charcoal to oil and it was only after I joined The Parish Social Ministry Art Club in East Rockaway in 2006 that I realized my true passion of pastels.
I studied under Dan Slapo and I don't think I've ever enjoyed a class more than I did with him. He taught me many different techniques in painting a portrait. Working with a live model was so different for me and I'm so happy to have had the opportunity to work with this Master of Pastels...He encouraged me to join the Pastel Society and I am now an Associate Member . I am thrilled to say that I have displayed my paintings in Rockville Center Village Art Club and have received several ribbons for my work. Thank you for visiting my blog. I will continue to add my painting in the future and hope you enjoy them as I have enjoyed painting them.
beautiful!
