Tuscan Dawn

One of many interesting
narrow streets in
Tuscany, Italy which
always caught my eye,
with its typical old
lanterns and beautiful
flowers that cascade
from the windows.

  5. Hilda, I like very much this pastel, showing shadows and light. In my opinion cityscapes are very difficult. This the reason why I never paint them.

  13. Hi Hilda, came by to check out your blog. Your pastels are wonderful. I do not have the patience for that medium. I love the "Moonlight Fairy" you did a while ago.

  27. This is a lovely piece, Hilda. I especially like the texture of the buildings that one can see when looking at the enlarged image. Is that La Carte paper?

  28. Thank you Sandy ! I use Canson Mi-Tientes paper most of the time working on the back of the paper which is smoother. I work with #431.. Steel Grey...
