  3. Thank you Joe. I've tried to work loosely but it turns to realism when completed. I just started another portrait which I'll post next week. By the way, love your roses.

  4. hmuxo, I love your pastel work, the portrait of Rachel is outstanding. I'm a country girl & I love old barns. Keep painting those wonderful barnes, so the next generation can enjoy. Can you tell me what paper or ground you used to paint Rachel. I paint my grandchildren in pastel. I use Stratmore charcoal paper, "Velvet Gray". It holds lots of layers to my surprise.

  5. Thank you blue eyes for your kind comment. I used Canson -mi tientes grey for most of my paintings. I find that it also holds a lot of layers of pastels..but I have used Stratmore paper as well in the past.
