Every rock has its own personality to match those of the swirls of water and tufts of grass! Simply lovely - makes me want to go back to Yosemite to breathe in the tranquility you've so eloquently portrayed.
Thank you Helen for your wonderful comment! Yosemite happens to be one of my favorite places to visit. It is so peaceful and beautiful just like you said. We do a lot of hiking there.
Wow..this is exquisite!! How I love looking through your archives of extraordinary art!! You are a mega-talented soul and I so appreciate the artist in you! The rocks and stones are spectacular...and the waves and water is stunning! Beautiful! Victoria
My name is Hilda Muxo Klinger. My passion for art came early.I have always said that I was born with a pencil in one hand and a box of crayons in the other.I am a Bronx born New Yorker who can remember sitting at the kitchen table copying faces that appeared in the newspapers and magazines as a girl.
I am married 53 years and have two daughters and five amazing grandchildren. While I worked and raised my family in East Rockaway, I used art as a form of relaxation, painting here and there. I dabbled with several artistic mediums through the years—everything from pencil to charcoal to oil and it was only after I joined The Parish Social Ministry Art Club in East Rockaway in 2006 that I realized my true passion of pastels.
I studied under Dan Slapo and I don't think I've ever enjoyed a class more than I did with him. He taught me many different techniques in painting a portrait. Working with a live model was so different for me and I'm so happy to have had the opportunity to work with this Master of Pastels...He encouraged me to join the Pastel Society and I am now an Associate Member . I am thrilled to say that I have displayed my paintings in Rockville Center Village Art Club and have received several ribbons for my work. Thank you for visiting my blog. I will continue to add my painting in the future and hope you enjoy them as I have enjoyed painting them.
